How do I study the bible? Where do I start? These are popular questions. I always ask questions like what do you like to read? What are your interest? Do you like war and drama? Poetry? Romance? HIstory? these stories and so many more are in the bible so I find out what a person is interested in and then I direct them as to where to find it in the bible.
My son, (13) read the bible in 90 days over summer break. There is a bible out there called The Bible In 90 Days. It was an excellent source to break it up in sections to read through. Most programs out there are hard to keep up with on a daliy basis, especially is you aren't that disciplined.
Sources I use to study scripture are sites like www.crosswalk.com this site has so many reference materials. Max Lucado has alot of books to help with studing certain books of the bible. Women of Faith have a series of little guide books too.
I found a new one today called http://www.twopaths.com/faq_WordCount.htm
Enjoy! Just pick a spot, story or character and start your study today.
