Consignment Sales are a great way to both buy and sell new and gently used infant and children's clothing, furniture, toys, etc. I have found some really nice pieces of clothing for my children at awesome prices at these events. The return on your own items that you sell is usually anywhere from 60% to 90%, depending on the terms of each sale. I am including information for two different consignment sales that I have participated in. I am sure there are dozens more out there. These sales are also a nice way to meet other Moms!
Recycled Kids Sale- St. Peters, MO (Merchandise drop-off begins on Friday, Feb. 29th and pick up of unsold merchandise is on Tuesday, March 11th. Public sale dates are March 6th-March 8th.) www.recycledkidssale.com

I second your thoughts on consignment sales!!!
I am totally biased, but I think they are an EXCELLENT way to pick up gently-used, but quality items for the kids - while making some extra $'s and clearing out your closets at the same time!
I invite you all to check out the sale that we hold twice a year in the South County area - the SPRING '08 sale will be held again in St. Elizabeth's gym, which is just a few blocks down from Crestwood Plaza on S. Sappington Rd.
We only accept clean, non-stained items in good to excellent condition - so the shopping is fantastic!
We just recently opened registration for consignors for the SPRING '08 sale - anyone is welcome to sign up to sell your kids' outgrown toys, clothes and baby gear. (Sellers do not have to be present at the sale.)
The Spring '08 sale dates are:
SATURDAY, APRIL 26th (8:00am - 4:30pm)
SUNDAY, APRIL 27th (9:00am - 12:30pm - most items 50% off on Sunday).
