I know you are thinking this should be in the pet catagory but give me just a second of your time to explain.

When I think about prayer and when I teach my children about it, I use acronyms. I think that God uses them all the time with me. ( A forum for another day) This one reminds them how to pray.

C- Confession
A- Adoration
T- Thanksgiving
S- Supplication

I use this one to remind them to ask for forgiveness when they pray for anything that day that they had done wrong, bad thoughts, bad attitdes, words spoken or anything that they feel they need to confess to the Lord. Then I tell them that they should let the Lord know how much the love Him. Then thank Him for all He has done and for the answers to prayer. Finally the S which stands for supplication, reminds them that they can ask for things, but this word means to ask humbly and earnestly. I remind them to keep praying even if the answer doesn't come right away. 
Our verse today was found in Matthew 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
