A family member purchased Moon Sand for my daughters to play with and wow what a mess. It doesn't stick together like the commercial shows and is an all out mess! Two packages were purchased, but they were only allowed to open one of them and needless to say the second package is going back to the store. I would not suggest buying this unless you want to pick up little balled up pieces of sand all day.

Katie,
I had the exact same experience with Moon Sand. It might as well be regular sand! I still let my son play with it -- just in a big plastic tub outside on the porch. BTW, the Magic House has a "moon sand" play station in the preschool/toddler area. I think they make it themselves with sand and wax. My son loved playing in it -- and it worked A LOT better than the commercial product. I'll have to see if I can find out how they made it.
