I recently did a "Deal or Dud" segment with Elliot

I compared the hand shredders to an actual paper shredder, and I have to say that I would buy a paper shredder any day!  I found that it was very difficult cutting through several sheets of paper, and a credit card was a challenge.  If you cut through one piece at a time, and mainly focus on the information that you want destroyed it does work.  Don't waste time shredding an entire letter if you only need to destroy a certain name or number.   It is nice to just pop it in a drawer, and the price is right!

Jana,
I saw the hand paper shredder and it looked like it took you some elbow grease to get through some of the items, especially the credit card but I really think I would like it because I'm so scared to get an electric paper shredder with the kiddos in the house because of all the stories I've heard about kids getting thier fingers caught in it. I haven't really checked into shredders lately, they may be made with better safety features now. I saw your report and thought the hand shredder was a more safe alternative.

I saw you :-).....It does look like it takes a little elbo grease to get them going good. We have a shredder machine, that does cards to. Those would be handy though, when you dont have alot and need to shred. Good Job girl!
