My son who is 1 has figured out how to climb EVERYTHING! He seems to look at it and within 5 seconds be on top of it or in it.  He gets on the counters, the tables, and on his latest quest he managed to climb down out of his high chair. Don't get me wrong I love him and have to laugh at some of the stuff that he does, but then I wonder what he is going to be like in a year or two and what he will be into then. Neither one of my girls were really climbers so this is a whole new can of worms for me. Anyone else out there with little monkeys and feel like they have to rush to get everything done in that hour to hour and a half time period they nap?

my husband says welcome to raising boys.  i say wait until he learns how to jump!  then he'll combine jumping with climbing and your world will get VERY interesting.  you will probably feel the need to follow him with a pillow or cushion.  my son will be 9 this month and he still scares me!    we've already had crutches twice and a broken finger.  baby gates are a good thing!  well, at least until he figures out he can climb that, too.

Becky he recently figured out how to jump from the chair to the couch. I thought I was smart and moved the chair. He pushed it across the floor back to where he could jump. We have wood floors so that was easy for him to do. He keeps me on my toes all day long, but that is a good thing right now because here lately that is the only exercise I can get in.
