A friend of mine has decorated her nursery with ladybugs, which is sooo cute for a little girl. I would like to do the same thing, but what other themes are there for nursery rooms besides your plain ole "Blue for Boys" and "Pink for Girls"?  What works and what doesn't

Hi Cinnamon!
I love to decorate, and I found some really fun sites out there! These may help you out. Also I added photos in the decorating section in the Gallery that may give you some fun ideas! Have fun!

I think any idea could work with the right balance of colors and decor.

Naval theme. Blue wave borders, little boats, anchors, star fish.
Explorer theme - with stuffed jungle animals, green and brown wallpaper, maps, pictures of the world.
Pastels - soft greens, yellows, neutral colors that don't have to be gender specific
Floral theme - framed pressed flowers, flower prints. Or maybe just your favorite flower

For some reason my nephew really likes ducks. If he could, he would have a duck themed room. But that may be more appropriate for a bathroom.
