For kids clothes you must go to The Purple Cow.  They have high-end gently-worn kids clothes, as well as some brand new boutique buy-outs.  It's definitely worth a visit.  The only problem is they only go up to size 7.

Happy shopping!

I also go to Once Upon a Child. The only problem I have found with them is that though don't seem to buy any clothes and the clothes they do buy back they pay very low on. I guess that is how they make their money though.  I have found many cute clothes there for my daughter. Does anybody know of any other resale places in St. Charles?

I love Once Upon a Child, but I feel the same way as Abby. But the trick is to go to the right one. I've found clothes with tags still on them at the one on Olive.
'The Fairview Heights store has lots of stuff but sometimes it's a little too warn and sometimes overpriced.
I like finding stuff in the Kirkwood store too.
And TOYS - oh, I'll hit them all up for toys.

The Purple Cow is located on Gravois close to Sappington Rd. Close to Johnny's Market. This the best kids resale I have seen. Love the clothes and shoes!!

I hit Once Upon Child all the time. I love getting what I consider a fair price on kiddo's clothing (esp the stuff with the tags still on). I totally agree about having a hard time selling stuff to them. Once I bought a set of PJs for my son and after they sat in his drawer for a couple of months ( I decided they weren't soft enough) I tried to sell them back. They wouldn't take them! They said the Pjs were too worn! I was blown away since they had just sold them to me. Oh well. However, another plus is that they sell maternity clothes. I cannot tell you how much money I saved in that department!

We love Once Upon a Child. They just put a new one near us, and we stop in about once a month.

I also love "Family Thrift Center" on Lemay Ferry (I think that's what it's called). It's across from Value City in the old Fashion Gal building.

I just got a ridiculous amount of clothing there for work, I needed suits and most of them were about $6.

Also, on Sunday they have a customer appreciation sale. If you shopped any time that week, you can bring in your receipt and get a discount. If you spend $20 you get 20% off, if you spend $50 you get 50% off......great deal. I think 50% is the max discount, though.

Finders Keepers in Kirkwood on Jefferson- is a wonderful shop. They only take in highend brands in good shape. I always find something I love. They also do monogramming!

I also love the purple cow.
I just sold them a coach diaper bag, and a bunch of play things.
They always have good clothes there and they pay well for your things (half of what they will sell it for).
In the same strip there is also a maternity and furniture resale shop. Owed by the same lady. She just opened a charity place too.
great Stuff!!

I NEED HELP FAST!!!!

My daughter is 4 months pregnant and she is the maid of honor in my other daughters wedding that is on 6-14. She ordered a dress online and when she received it, it was the wrong size!!! After contacting the company they told her that they wouldn't have her size till 6-20. THATS NO HELP!!!! Does anyone know of a consignment shop, maternity shop...ANYWHERE that my daughter can get a solid blue or solid silver dress to wear in her sisters wedding????? She doesn't want to spend a small fortune for a dress that she will never wear again. Our backs are to the wall...anyone have any suggestions PLEASE????!!!!!??????
