My husband and I just spent our 6th anniversary at a B&B in Hermann. It was wonderful to be together without the kids and just enjoy each other's company. I find that a lot of the times we get snippy with each other simply because we don't have the time and/or energy to communicate in an open way. It was really nice to be able to actually talk and do some other things that we don't normally get a chance to do at home with work and the boys taking up most of our time. BTW, the place we stayed was the Wine Valley Inn. It was EXCELLENT! Great food, jacuzzi tub, friendly staff and close to everything!

My husband and I have been married 10 years this past July.  We have a tradition of going out for a fancy (usually expensive) dinner and spending the night away.  It's fun to think back over the different anniversaries and where we were at the time.  We've spent 1 in Decatur, IL, 2 in London, Ontario, 4 in St Louis, 1 in Mackinac City, MI and 2 in Springfield, IL.  It's fun to plan to visit a new hotel or inn and find new restaurants to try each year.  It's something that we both look forward to and enjoy!!
