My name is Heather. I live in the Shaw Neighborhood near the Missouri Botanical Garden in the City of St. Louis. I am married and have three boys, Jonathan age 7, Parker age 5, and Isaac age 3, and they certainly keep me on my toes. My husband and I both hail from Southern California, but have lived here for more than 12 years. Now that we have children, what we look for regarding where we live has changed completely. It is our desire to expose our children to as much as possible to give way to compassion, understanding, and acceptance, which is why we decided to move to the City. Two of the boys are currently enrolled in Kennard Classical Junior Academy, a St. Louis City Public Schools Gifted Magnet School, and our youngest is enrolled in The Little School, the early childhood center for The Soulard School. We are trying to support as much of our city as possible, and the schools the boys attend is no exception. I am the Director of Development for Crossroads College Preparatory School. Working full-time, raising three boys, and maintaining a household has many challenges. To find my sanity, one of my outlets is creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. When I am not chasing boys, chauffeuring to various activities, carpooling, working, attempting some order in our home, or training a new dog and two new kittens, I stay up late at night peacefully creating with crystals, silver, stones, and wire. I have many other interests, but let's face it - there is little time left over each day for much else.
