Cardinal fans lined up early Friday morning to take advantage of discounted tickets, for this weekend's homestand against the Cincinnati Reds. Some arrived at 5 a.m., to get the five dollar and fifty cent tickets. Fans are hoping the Cardinals can turn around their recent slide and get back into the hunt for a playoff berth.Dennis Brunkow says: I think this is going to be one of the best series of the year.

This is the first time since July's brawl that the Cardinals and the Reds have played. Fans are looking are looking for fireworks and they'll get them either on the field or for sure after the game, when the Cardinals will have a fireworks display.
A local sports economist, had this to say about this weekends economic impact, "Patrick Rishe, It means that certain restaurants and hotels are not going to get the same revenue that they would have otherwise. It's even going to start before the post season. Regular season you're going to see more people not show up, more no-shows.
If the cards don't start winning not only will they miss post season play. St. Louis stands to lose out 2 to 3 million dollars that each post season game brings in to the city.
