It is the final day labor day weekend and there is plenty happening all around town to enjoy. After the fourth hottest summer on record in St. Louis, you could not ask for nicer weather to end the season, making it a perfect weekend to get out and enjoy Labor Day celebrations on both sides of the river Monday. The Labor Day parade in St. Louis begins at 9 a.m. at Soldier's Memorial in Downtown.

It starts at Olive at 15th Street, then travels east to Tucker, south on Tucker to Market and west on Market to 15th Street.

And in Belleville, the Labor Day parade kicks off at 10 a.m. It starts at the Cathedral Grade School parking lot at South Second Street and Monroe. Then it heads north on south Illinois to C Street before ending at Hough Park.

The Japanese Festival also continues through Monday at the Missouri Botanical Garden. The event features traditional music, dancing and storytelling in the garden's authentic Japanese strolling gardens. There's also origami and the chance to see a real sumo wrestling demonstration.

And don't forget about the Greek festival in the Central West End. The annual event attracts thousands of visitors who enjoy music, dancing and some of the best Greek food you'll find anywhere.

St. Nicholas Church at Kingshighway and Forest Park Parkway is hosting the event. Free parking is available at the BJC parking garage.

So get out and enjoy the last gasp of summer fun on a beautiful early fall day.
