Jefferson County, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com) - Jefferson County Sheriffs Department today unveiled four new Chevy Tahoes, specifically modified for DWI enforcement. Using grant money from the Missouri Department of Transportation, the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department will now be able to patrol and process drivers pull over for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol on site. In the past, it could take up to an hour before they could get a persons blood alcohol content.

Now, they hope cut that time dramatically, along with the 32 accidents attribute to alcohol last year.

The push for enforcement this year, is part of an overall operation that will involve heavy saturation in high priority areas and get the message out…Don't Drink and Drive.
